Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn the (ETM/LTM) off.
- Make sure one of the front doors is still open.
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Turn the (ETM/LTM) on.
- With the scan tool, read (ETM/LTM) DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- SATELLITE RADIO OPERATION
Does the satellite (ETM/LTM) function properly?
Yes
- The satellite (ETM/LTM) and GPS share the same antenna cable. If the Satellite (ETM/LTM) is functioning properly, replace the GPS Antenna puck in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- TEST THE SATELLITE ANTENNA CABLE
- Disconnect the Satellite/GPS Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna.
- Connect the appropriate (ETM/LTM) Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-1, Adapter) or (special tool #9977-6-3, Adapter) to the Satellite Antenna cable at the back of the (ETM/LTM).
- Connect the appropriate (ETM/LTM) Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-4, Jumper) or (special tool #9977-6-2, Jumper) to the Satellite Antenna cable at the Satellite Antenna base.
- Measure the Resistance across the terminals on the tool.
Is the resistance below 47.5 Ohms?
Yes
- Use the (special tool #9977-6, Kit, Radio Antenna Diagnostic) to locate the short, repair or replace the Satellite Antenna cable as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the (ETM/LTM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
