Diagnostic Test
- INTERMITTENT CONDITION NOTE:
This test is for a Latin American, Manual Transmission vehicle only.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase BCM DTCs.
- Open the driver door.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1037-19-DRIVER DOOR AJAR TCM OUTPUT - OVER CURRENT?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- (G75) DRIVER DOOR AJAR SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Door Latch harness connector.
- Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) C1 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage between ground and the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit in the Driver Door Latch harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the short to voltage in the (G75) Driver Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), EMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
