Seal, Sunroof Glass: Installation

Front Glass Seal

1. Thoroughly clean all residue from the seal attachment area of the sunroof frame.
   NOTE:

   If the temperature is below 21° C (70° F), warm the sunroof frame with a heat lamp or heat gun.

2. Wipe the attachment area with a clean, lint-free cloth, moistened with a 50% solution of water and alcohol and then wipe dry the areas immediately with a dry, lint-free cloth.
3. Position the seal (2) to the sunroof frame, with the seal ends (1) joining in the rear center (2).
4. Carefully remove the protective backing from the adhesive tape, working around the perimeter, positioning it with the marks on the frame.
5. With the use of hand pressure, be certain the seal is firmly seated.

6. Install the sunroof front glass (2). Refer to GLASS, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .
7. Verify proper function and positioning of the sunroof front glass.

Sunroof Frame Seal

1. Install the seal around the perimeter of the sunroof frame.
2. Refer to GLASS, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .
3. Install the sunroof front glass (2). Refer to GLASS, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .
