Lever, Parking Brake: Installation

  1. Position the parking brake lever (5b) to the floor pan and install the park brake lever bolts (5a) and tighten the bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the park brake cables (2) into the equalizer on the parking brake lever output cable.
  3. Connect the parking brake switch wire harness connector and engage the wire harness retainer.
  4. Perform parking brake adjustment procedure. Refer to PARKING BRAKE, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  5. Install the center floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, INSTALLATION .
  6. Remove the blocks from the tires and wheel assemblies.
  7. Connect the battery negative cable to its post on the battery.
