Diagnostic Test

VERIFY THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IS ACTIVE

NOTE:

Make sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: U1703-87-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH IPC?

Yes
- Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING and perform the U1703-87-Lost Communication with IPC diagnostic procedure.
No
- Refer to SCAN TOOL WILL NOT COMMUNICATE WITH VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.
