Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE:

Make sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on vehicle work order.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes
- Perform the No Response From BCM (Body Control Module) diagnostic procedure. Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
No
- Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to SCAN TOOL WILL NOT COMMUNICATE WITH VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
