Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn the radio on.
- With the scan tool, erase Radio DTCs.
- With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- PERFORM PROXY-ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE
- With the scan tool, perform the proxy-alignment procedure.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off, then back on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go to 3
No
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Test complete.
- CHECK THE CABIN EQUALIZATION CURVE NUMBER
- With the scan tool in the BCM ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the Cabin Equalization Curve number.
- With the scan tool in the Radio ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the True value.NOTE:
The Cabin EQ Curve value found in the BCM should match the True value found in the Radio.
Do the Cabin EQ settings match one another?
Yes
- Replace the Radio in accordance to the service information. (Refer to RADIO .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go to 4
- VERIFY COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
- With the scan tool, read the active modules on the BUS.
Does the scan tool show the BCM active on the BUS?
Yes
- Go to 5
No
- Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) and perform the No Response From Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic procedure.
- With the scan tool, read the active modules on the BUS.
- CHECK THE BCM FOR ACTIVE DTCs
- With the scan tool, erase BCM DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off. Wait approximately 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs and record them on the repair order.
Are any active DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM) in accordance with the Service Information. (Refer to BCM, BODY CONTROL MODULE, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
