Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE:

Make sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes
- Perform the U1701-87-Lost Communication with PCM diagnostic procedure. Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING .
No
- Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to SCAN TOOL WILL NOT COMMUNICATE WITH VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
