Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition.
- Turn the ignition on, wait one minute.
- With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go to 2.
No
- Test complete. The DTC is not active at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE VIN IN THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)
- With the scan tool, compare the VIN numbers displayed in the ORIGINAL and CURRENT locations of the Overview
, in the BCM view.
Do the original and current VIN numbers match?
Yes
- Go to 3
No
- Replace the BCM in accordance with service information. (Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, compare the VIN numbers displayed in the ORIGINAL and CURRENT locations of the Overview
, in the BCM view.
- CHECK THE VIN IN THE RADIO
- With the scan tool, compare the VIN numbers displayed in the ORIGINAL and CURRENT locations of the Overview
, in the Radio view.
Do the original and current VIN numbers match?
Yes
- Replace the Radio in accordance with service information. (Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete. This DTC indicates that the Radio installed belongs to another vehicle.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, compare the VIN numbers displayed in the ORIGINAL and CURRENT locations of the Overview
, in the Radio view.
