Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    4. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go to 2

      No 

  2. RIGHT SUBWOOFER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Right Subwoofer and Amplifier harness connectors.
    3. Check for the presence of loose or damaged connections at the Right Subwoofer and Amplifier harness connectors.

      Were there signs of any of the connections being loose or damaged?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to 3
  3. CHECK THE RIGHT SUBWOOFER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE 
    1. Measure the resistance of the Right Subwoofer Signal circuit between the Right Subwoofer harness connector and the Amplifier harness connector.

      Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      • Go to 4

      No 

      • Repair the Right Subwoofer Signal circuit for an open or high resistance.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  4. CHECK THE RIGHT SUBWOOFER OPERATION 
    1. Check that the Right Subwoofer is working correctly.

      Is the Right Subwoofer working correctly?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Replace the Right Subwoofer in accordance with the Service Information. (Refer toREMOVAL .
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
