Fascia, Rear: Removal
Trekking Models
- Open the liftgate.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the tail lights. Refer to LAMP, TAIL STOP TURN, REMOVAL .
- Working on both sides of the car, cautiously release the first two rear retainers (1a) from the mouldings (1b) of the rear wheel house splash shields, with the suitable tool; then cautiously remove the adhesive stripe (1c) in the area of the two retainers.
- If the retainers (1a) are damaged, replace them during refitting.
- Cautiously release the ends (2a) from the retainers (2b) of the rear fascia mouldings (2c).
- Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the fascia (1b) to the additional wheel house splash shields (1c).
- Slightly move the additional wheel house splash shields and remove the side screws (2a) attaching the fascia (lb) to the body.
- Working under the fascia (1a), remove the lower fascia attaching screws (1b).
- Release the side retainers (2a).
- Release the fascia (1a) from the retainers, along the upper profile (1b), then slightly separate it from the body.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (2a, 2b) for the rear lower headlights.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (3a) for the parking sensor wiring.
- Remove the rear fascia (1a).
Standard Models
- Open the liftgate.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the tail lights. Refer to LAMP, TAIL STOP TURN, REMOVAL .
- Working on both sides of the vehicle, remove the screws (1a) attaching the fascia (1b) to the supplementary wheel house splash shields (1c).
- Slightly move the supplementary wheel house splash shields and remove the side screws (2a) attaching the fascia (lb) to the body.
- Working under the fascia (1a), remove the lower fascia screws (1b) and (1c).
- Release the side retainers (2a).
- Remove the screws (1a).
- Release the fascia (1b) from the retainers, along the side profile (2a), then release the side retainers (2b).
- Move the fascia (1a) slightly and disconnect the wire harness connector (1b) of the fascia wiring.
- Remove the fascia (1a).
