Mechanism, Gearshift: Installation

- Install the gearshift assembly.
- Install the nuts and bolt. Tighten the fasteners to 16 N.m (12 ft. lbs.).
- Install the cable retention clips (1) to the gearshift assembly.
- Attach the selector cable end (1) and shift cable end (2) to the gearshift assembly.
- Adjust the gearshift cable. Refer to CABLE, GEARSHIFT CONTROL, ADJUSTMENTS .
- Install the gearshift housing. Refer to BEZEL, SHIFTER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the gearshift boot to the bezel.
