Differential, Transaxle: Disassembly

NOTE:

The differential case and side gears are not serviced separately and must be replaced as an assembly.

  1. Remove the differential bearings (1) using (special tool #8513A, Insert, Crankshaft) (2) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (3).

  2. Remove the ring gear bolts (1) and discard.
  3. Remove the ring gear.
