Radiator, Power Electronics Coolant: Installation

When performing any repairs that involve contact with high voltage components or systems, the technician performing repairs on the vehicle must verify that the system remains powered down during high voltage repairs.
- This must be done by removing the service disconnect.
- The high voltage power down procedure must also be performed to ensure that the vehicle is properly powered down.
- The technician must know the whereabouts of the service disconnect throughout the repair.
- The technician must ensure that no one reconnects the service disconnect while service is being performed.
- The technician must recheck that the service disconnect has not been reinstalled in cases where the vehicle was unattended.
- Install the cooling fan to the power electronics coolant radiator.
- Install the two cooling fan assembly screws (1), and tighten to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
- Install the two lower power electronics coolant radiator brackets (2) on the radiator.
- Position the power electronics coolant radiator, and install the two lower power electronics coolant radiator bracket screws (1). Tighten the screws to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
- Connect the cooling fan assembly electrical connector (3).
- Connect the two power electronics coolant radiator hoses.
- Install the A/C condenser. Refer to CONDENSER, A/C, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Power up the high-voltage system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER UP .
- Fill the power electronics cooling system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY COOLING AND HEATING SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the electric motor trim cover. Refer to COVER, BEAUTY, INSTALLATION .
