Bulb - Hatchback

NOTE:
The Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) contains five individual incandescent bulbs. The service procedure for each of these bulbs is the same.
- Align the base of the bulb with the bulb opening in the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) socket plate (1).
- Push the bulb straight into the socket plate until the base is firmly seated.
- Engage the hinge tabs on the left end of the socket plate under the hinge pivot pin (2) on the left end of the CHMSL housing.
- Swing the right end of the socket plate downward over the CHMSL housing far enough to engage the latch tab on the socket plate into the latch receptacle of the CHMSL housing.
- Position the CHMSL and upper trim cover unit close enough to the upper inner liftgate to access and reconnect the wire harness connector (1) to the connector receptacle on the left end of the CHMSL socket plate.
- Position the CHMSL and trim cover unit to the inner liftgate panel above the glass.
- Install and tighten the two screws that secure the trim cover and CHMSL unit to the inner liftgate panel. Tighten the screws securely.
- Snap the plastic covers over the two mounting holes (1) of the trim cover.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
