Fascia, Rear: Installation

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE:

Base model shown in the illustration, other models typical unless noted.

  1. Position the rear fascia (2) near the vehicle.
  2. Connect the park assist sensor wiring harness connector, if so equipped.
  3. Position the rear fascia (2) to the vehicle.
  4. Align the rear fascia retaining tabs and push in on the fascia sides to engage.
  5. Install the fastener (1) on both sides securing the top of the rear fascia (2) to the vehicle. Tighten the fastener securely.
  6. Install the taillamps. Refer to LAMP, TAIL STOP TURN, INSTALLATION .

    NOTE:

  7. Raise and support the vehicle.
  8. Install the fasteners (3) located under the middle underside of the fascia (1). Tighten the fasteners securely.
  9. Install the outboard fastener (2) on both sides securing the rear fascia (1) to the vehicle. Tighten the fasteners securely.
  10. Install the rear splash shield on both sides of the vehicle.
  11. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power up the 12 volt system. Refer to 12 VOLT POWER UP .
  12. Connect the 12-volt negative battery cable.
