Fascia, Front: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE:

Base model shown in the illustration, other models typical unless noted.

  1. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
  2. Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
  3. Remove the four fasteners (1) securing the fascia to the upper radiator support.

  4. Raise and support the vehicle.
  5. Open the access door (2) located on the splash shield and disconnect the fog/park lights and the sidemarker lamp. Repeat on the opposite side.
  6. Remove the splash shield to fascia fasteners (1). Repeat on the opposite side.

  7. Peel back the splash shield and remove the fender to fascia fastener (1). Repeat on the opposite side.

  8. Remove the two outboard fasteners (1) located at the bottom of fascia.
  9. Remove the three middle fasteners (2) located at the bottom of the fascia.

  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Pull out on the fascia sides at the fender to disengage the retaining tabs.
  12. Carefully, remove fascia (1) from the vehicle.
