Tube, Mechanism: Installation

NOTE:

Sunroof glass removed for clarity.

  1. Insert the bowden cables into the ends of the mechanism tube (1).
  2. Slide the bowden cables into the mechanism tube (1) until the mechanism tube (1) is against the end of the sunroof guide (2).
  3. Push up and then inward to fully insert the tapered end of the mechanism tube (1) into the sunroof guide (2), repeat on the opposite side.

  4. Install the two fasteners (1) into the mechanism tube (3) and tighten securely.
  5. Repeat on the opposite side.
  6. Install the fastener (2) into the center of the mechanism tube (3) and tighten securely.
  7. With the use of wire ties, secure the sunroof motor wiring harness to the mechanism tubes (3).

  8. Install the sunroof motor. Refer to MOTOR, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .

  9. Install the headliner (1). Refer to HEADLINER, INSTALLATION .
  10. Initialize the sunroof motor. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
