Guide, Sunroof, Glass: Installation

- Insert the bowden cable (2) into the mechanism tube.
- Move the sunroof guide (1) rearward, sliding the bowden cable (2) into the mechanism tube.
- Guide the sunroof mechanism (2) onto the tapered end of the mechanism tube (1).
- Install the five sunroof guide fasteners (2) into the sunroof frame (1).
- Tighten the five sunroof guide fasteners to 4 N.m (35 in. lbs.).
- Install the sunroof motor (3). Refer to MOTOR, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION
.
- Install the sunshade (2). Refer to SUNSHADE, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .
- Install the headliner (1). Refer to HEADLINER, INSTALLATION .
- Slide the wind deflector spring (1) rearward to under the tabs.
- Install fastener (2) into the wind deflector spring (1) and tighten securely.
- Position the sunroof wind deflector (1) arm over the wind deflector spring.
- Align the sunroof wind deflector (1) notch to the sunroof glass guide (2) tab and make certain the front tabs on the sunroof wind deflector (1) are below the stop tabs.
- Push rearward until the sunroof wind deflector (1) snaps under the sunroof glass guide (1).
- Repeat on the opposite side.
- Use the sunroof switch to move the sunroof glass guides (1) to the full open position.
- Install the sunroof glass (2). Refer to GLASS, SUNROOF, INSTALLATION .
- Initialize the sunroof motor. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
