Seat, Front: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
NOTE:
Base model shown in the illustration, other models typical unless noted.
NOTE:
Driver side shown in the illustration, passenger side typical unless noted.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
- Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Position the seat forward.
- Remove the seat to floor bolts (1, 2) located in the rear area of the front seat.
- Passenger side seats, remove the harness cover (2) by pulling the retaining pins (1).
- Position the seat rearward.
- Remove the seat to floor bolts (1).
- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors.
- Remove the seat from the vehicle.
