Cover, Seat Cushion, Front: Installation

  1. If removed, install the seat bottom cover onto the seat bottom cushion. Refer to COVER, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, ASSEMBLY .
  2. Position the seat bottom cushion and cover onto the seat bottom frame. Carefully route the heated seat and/or the Occupant Detection Sensor (ODS) wire harness leads through the seat bottom frame, as equipped.
  3. Engage the J-clip (1) that secures the front of the seat bottom cover (2) to the seat bottom frame (3).

    NOTE:

    Inboard side shown in the illustration. Outboard side similar.

  4. Engage the two J-clips (2) that secure each side of the seat bottom cover (1) to the seat bottom frame (3).

  5. Route the air bag wire harness lead and connector (2) through the rear of the seat bottom cover and reconnect the connector.
  6. Engage the J-clips (1 and 3) that secure the bottom-rear of the seat back cover (2) together.

  7. Connect the wiring harness connectors and wire harness leads underneath the seat, when equipped with heated seats and/or an ODS. Refer to PAD, HEATER, DESCRIPTION and SENSOR, OCCUPANT DETECTION, DESCRIPTION .
  8. Install four new hog rings (1) to secure the back of the seat bottom cover (2) to the seat bottom frame (3).

  9. Position the inboard seat cushion side shield (4) to the seat and install the two retaining screws. Tighten the screws securely.
  10. Install the seat back recliner lever (3).
  11. Install the screw (1) and washer (2) that secures the seat back recliner lever. Tighten the screw securely.

  12. Install the trim cap (1) onto the seat back recliner lever (2).

  13. Position the outboard seat cushion side shield (3) to the seat and engage the front of the side shield to the seat.
  14. Install the three screws (1, 2 and 4) that secure the outboard seat cushion side shield to the seat. Tighten the screws securely.

  15. Install the trim cap (1) onto the outboard seat cushion side shield (2).
  16. Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
