Cable, Hood Release: Installation

Place the hood release cable (2) into the engine compartment.
Feed the cable (2) from the engine compartment to the hood release latch through the upper portion of the front end module. Route the cable between the battery tray and the inner fender panel.
Feed the cable (2) from the engine compartment to the interior through the opening in the cowl/dash panel. Seat the grommet (1).
Clip the cable (2) to the retainer located on the inner fender panel.

Press the handle down on the exterior latch release (1) and install the cable (2).
NOTE:
Make sure the cable is free from any moving parts in the engine compartment. Secure the cable with tie wraps if necessary.

Press the handle down on the interior latch release (2) and install the cable (1).

Position the interior latch release (3) to it's bracket.
Install the fasteners (2) securing the interior latch release (3) to it's bracket.
