Cladding, Body, Sill: Removal

- As a guide for installation, apply a length of masking tape on the body side, parallel to the top edge of the body side cladding.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
- If desired, remove the front wheel.
- Remove the fasteners (2) and remove the front fascia spat (1).NOTE:
Abarth shown in the illustration, all other models similar.
- Remove the six fasteners (1) from the bottom edge of the sill cladding.
- Pull sill cladding from one end and beneath until all the cross car pins are disengaged and tape is detached form the body.
- If necessary use a plastic putty knife (1) or equivalent, along the top edge of the sill cladding to release the two sided tape.NOTE:
- Abarth/Sport Turbo Cladding - There are eight clips (2) and two clips (3).
- BEV/Sport Sill Cladding - There are nine clips (2).
- Remove the sill cladding (2) and remove any clips that might be trapped in the holes (1) to avoid falling inside the sheet metal and creating any noises.
- Discard the sill cladding.
- Check sill and underbody for damage due to incorrect hoisting and repair as necessary.
