An electromagnetic diaphragm-type horn (3) is standard equipment on this vehicle. A low note trumpet-style horn is secured to a dedicated mounting bracket (2). The horn and mounting bracket unit is then secured by a screw to the left outboard side of the Front End Module (FEM) carrier, just below and behind the right headlamp. The two terminals of the horn connector (1) are connected to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the headlamp and dash wire harness.

The horn is factory-tuned as a unit with the appropriate mounting bracket. The horn is serviced as a unit with and should never be removed from the mounting bracket. The horn cannot be adjusted or repaired. If either the horn or the mounting bracket is ineffective or damaged, the entire unit must be replaced.
