Isolation Measurements Of PIM
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER DOWN PROCEDURE to perform the High Voltage Power Down procedure.
- Disconnect the 3 Phase Wire Harness Connector (1) from the e-Motor.
- Disconnect the C1 Auxiliary High Voltage Connector 28-way connector (1) from the PIM (2). Follow the HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CONNECT, DISCONNECT procedure Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS DISCONNECT, CONNECT
.
- Disconnect the C2 High Voltage Connector (2) for circuits H300F and H301F from the High Voltage Battery. Using a jumper wire, contact circuits H300F and H301F together at the C2 connector end at the end of the Wire Harness.
- Allow the circuits to stabilize for 10 seconds, then check the Resistance between the PIM Housing and the C2 High Voltage connector end (H300F, H301F), using a qualified Isolation tester.
- If the measurement is not greater than 2.5M?, replace PIM.
