Section 1 (Rear Suspension - 500 - Electric): Spring(S): Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding, refer to WARNING .

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
2. On both sides of the vehicle, remove the wheel mounting bolts (1), then the rear tire and wheel assembly.

3. Position a transmission jack or equivalent under the center of the axle, raising it enough to support the axle.
4. On each side, remove the lower mounting bolt (4) securing the shock absorber to the axle.
5. Lower the transmission jack until the coil springs (1) can be removed from the axle.
6. Remove the coil springs (1) and rubber isolators.
