DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Spoiler: Removal

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the lower and upper (1) liftgate trim panels. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, LIFTGATE, REMOVAL .

4. Remove the two outer bolts (1).
5. Remove the four nuts (2).

6. Place a block or equivalent, to keep the liftgate from latching and lower the liftgate.
7. With the use of trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the three spoiler retainers (2) along the front edge of the spoiler (1).
8. Position the spoiler (1) up but do not remove at this time.

9. Disconnect the washer nozzle hose (2).
10. Disconnect the stop lamp wiring connector (1).
11. Remove the spoiler from the liftgate.
