DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Latch: Removal

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the liftgate lower trim panel (1). Refer to PANEL, TRIM, LIFTGATE, REMOVAL .

4. Disconnect the wiring connector (3) from the latch (1).

5. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the latch (2) to the liftgate.
6. Remove the latch from the liftgate.
