Sunroof, Single Pane: Description

The single pane sunroof (Sky Dome) comprises of a stationary glass panel and is fitted with an electrically operated sun blind.

When the sunshade is open, it allows outside light to enter the passenger compartment and you can see out of it.

The sunroof includes an electric rolling sunshade to cover the deep-tinted glass panel.

The operation of the power rolling sunshade is activated using the opening/closing switch button located in the overhead console.

The power sunshade system allows the sunshade to be opened or closed electrically by actuating a switch in the overhead console. The sunshade system receives battery feed through a fuse in the Power Distribution Center (PDC). The sunshade will operate normally with the key in any position while the Accessory Delay system is active.

In addition to the standard power sunshade operation, this vehicle offers several additional features. There is an express (one-touch) opening and closing feature as well as Excessive Force Limitation (EFL). During a closing operation the EFL function detects obstacles trapped between the power sunshade. Upon sensing an obstacle the EFL function will interrupt movement of the power sunshade to allow removal of the obstacle.

The main components of the sunroof system are:

• a metal frame to which the other components are fixed (the metal frame is attached to the body with urethane)
• some mechanisms, fixed to the frame, to move the sunshade, operated by an electric motor through a metal cable
• a tempered glass panel (attached to the metal frame with urethane)
• a power rolling sunshade
