Sunroof, Dual Pane: Operation
SUNROOF:
Pressing the opening button permits two opening modes for the front glass panel.
To open the sunroof- Press and hold down button (2), the front glass panel will move into the spoiler position. After opening in "spoiler" position, press button (2) again for more than half a second to bring the roof automatically to fully open position.
The automatic roof movement can be stopped in any position by pressing a button again.
To close the sunroof- Press button (2) from the fully open position. If the button is pressed for more than half a second, the roof will automatically move to spoiler position. From the spoiler position, press button (2) again to reach the fully closed position.
SUNSHADE:
To open the sunshade- Press button (1) to move the blind towards the rear part of the car, until it is fully open.
To close the sunshade- With blind fully open, press button (2) the blind will move towards the front part of the car, until it is fully closed.
The automatic sunshade movement can be stopped in any position by pressing a button again.
Excessive Force Limitation (EFL)- The sun roof and the sunshade are provided with an EFL safety device that can detect the presence of an obstacle during the closing movement (front area and central crossmember area). Should this occur, the travel of the blind or the roof panel is interrupted immediately.
Emergency/Manual Operation:
If the control buttons fail to operate, the sunshade and the sunroof can be moved manually as described.
- Locate the access protective caps (2 and 3), located rearward of the headliner (1) sunroof opening.
- For the sunshade movement remove protective cap (3). For the sunroof remove the protective cap (2).
- Insert an appropriate sized allen wrench or the allen tool supplied in the vehicle's tool kit into the sunshade housing (3) or sunroof housing (2).
- Turn clockwise to open the sunshade or sunroof. Turn counter clockwise to close the sunshade or sunroof.
