Guide, Sunroof, Glass: Removal

Open the sunshade fully.
Remove the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL .
Remove the front sunroof glass (2). Refer to GLASS, SUNROOF, FRONT, REMOVAL .

Release the sunroof wind deflector (2) by pulling forward on the arm (1), releasing it from the wind deflector mount.
Repeat on the opposite side.

NOTE:
Left side shown, right side typical.
Remove fasteners (3) from the wind deflector mount (2).
Remove the mount (2) from the guide.

Remove the fasteners (2) from the left side of the wind deflector guard (1).
Repeat on the opposite side and remove guard (1).
Use the sunroof switch to move the sunroof glass guides (1) to the full closed position.
NOTE:
Sunshade must remain in the full open position.

Remove the sunroof sunshade (1). Refer to SUNSHADE, SUNROOF, REMOVAL .

Remove the sunroof motor (3). Refer to MOTOR, SUNROOF, REMOVAL .

With the use of trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers along the front edge (1) of the sunroof crossmember trim (2), lowering it slightly.
Release the retainers on the rear of the sunroof crossmember trim (2).

Remove the fasteners (1) securing mechanism tube (2) to the sunroof glass guide.

With a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the sunroof glass guide (2) rear fasteners (1).
Remove the rear sunroof glass guide fasteners (2) from the sunroof frame.
NOTE:
Right side shown, left side typical.

With a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the sunroof glass guide (2) front fasteners (1).
Remove the front sunroof glass guide fasteners (1) from the sunroof frame.
NOTE:
Right side shown, left side typical.
Slide the sunroof guide (2) forward and then lift up.

Continue pulling the forward sunroof guide (1) forward until the bowden cable (2) is completely removed.
Remove the sunroof glass guide from the vehicle.
