Riser, Seat, Second Row Flat Floor: Removal

Release the rear seats and rotate the seats into the full forward position.
With the use of a trim remover (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the push pin fasteners (2) from the carpet trim panel (1).
Remove the carpet trim panel (1).
Repeat on the opposite side.

Remove the intermediate load platform cover (1) from the rear seat riser (2).
Remove the intermediate load platform cover (1) from the vehicle.

Remove the pushpin fasteners (2) located between the torsion bar brackets of rear seats (1).

NOTE:
The right and left seats are removed in the same manner. The only difference is the left seat only uses one torsion bar, whereas the right seat utilizes two.
Use a suitable support device to hold the seat in the up position.
Loosen the torsion bar bracket fasteners (2).
NOTE:
Do not remove the fasteners (2). The torsion bars (1) can be removed with the torsion bar brackets (3) loosened.
Remove the torsion bars (1) from the torsion bar brackets (1).

Disconnect the rear seat support cylinder from the right rear seat.
Place a block in the seat latch striker area on the seat riser, to prevent latching of the seat once lowered.
Remove support device and lower the rear seat.

Release the rear portion of the passenger carpet (2 and 3) from the seat riser, torsion bars and hinges.

Remove the fasteners (2) from the rear seat hinges (3).
With the help of an assistant, remove the right rear seat from the vehicle.
Repeat steps 8 through 16 to remove the left side rear seat.

Remove the ten fasteners (2) that secure rear seat riser (1) to the floor.
Remove the rear seat riser (1) from the vehicle.
