Seat Back, Front: Removal
NOTE:
Before proceeding with the following procedure, review all Warnings and Cautions. Refer to WARNING .
NOTE:
Passenger seat shown. Driver seat similar.
- Remove the front seat being serviced and place it on a workbench. Refer to REMOVAL .
- On the outboard side cover, using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, remove the fastener covers from the recliner lever (1) and height adjuster lever (2).
- Remove the fastener (5) from the recliner lever (1).
- Remove the fastener (3) from the height adjuster lever (2).
- Remove the recliner lever (1) and the height adjuster lever (2).
- Remove the fastener from the rear of the side cover.
- On the front inner of the side cover (1), release the side cover clip (2) from the retainer the tab, with the use of a small flat bladed tool (3).
- Move the outboard side cover up and forward, releasing it from the seat.
- Disconnect the wiring connector from the heated seat switch, if so equipped.
- On the inboard side cover (1), using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, remove the fastener cover from the side cover.
- Remove the fasteners (2) from the inboard side cover.
- Remove the fasteners (3) from the rear of the inboard side cover.
- Move the inboard side cover (1) up and forward, releasing it from the seat.
- From the bottom of the seat, disconnect the occupant detection sensor wiring connector (2).
- Disconnect the seat track position sensor wiring connector (3).
- Unfasten the seat wiring harness routing clips (1).
- Disconnect the seat back wiring guide (1).
- Unfasten the seat wiring harness routing clips (2).
- Remove the seat belt buckle (3) fastener.
- Remove the fasteners (2) from both sides of the seat back (1).
- Remove the seat back (1) from the seat cushion.
