Adjuster, Seat: Removal
- With the use of the height adjuster lever (2), raise the seat until it is in the full upward travel position.
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Place the seat on a clean work bench.
- Remove the seat cushion side shield from the side of the seat being serviced. Refer to SIDE SHIELDS, SEAT CUSHION, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- If servicing the inboard seat adjuster, remove the screw (3) and position the buckle lower anchor (1) and wiring (2) out of the way.
- Apply a suitable chip guard on the adjuster and seat to protect from drill shavings.
- Using a drill with suitable steel bit, remove the riveted pins (2) attaching the seat adjuster (1) to the seat cushion brackets.
- Remove the seat adjuster, releasing the retainer (3) and fork (2) from the end of the seat adjuster handle (1).
