Latch, Hood: Installation

Position the hood latch (1).
Loosely install the fasteners (2).
Align the hood latch (1) and fasteners (2) to the marks previously made.
Tighten the fasteners (2) securely.

Connect the hood release cable (2) from the hood latch (1).

Test the hood latch (1) by using a suitable tool (2) to press down on the hood latch mechanism to the fully locked position.
NOTE:
The tool (2) should be 1-2 mm. smaller than the hood striker to be certain of ease of removal.
Use the hood release handle to release the latch and make certain the hood latch has cycled properly.
Check the opening and closing operation of the hood.
