Body - Interior & Exterior - 500L: Exterior: Nameplate: Removal

NOTE:

Exterior nameplates are attached to body panels with adhesive tape. The upper nameplate (1) utilizes two retaining clips and adhesive tape.

Apply a length of masking tape on the body, parallel to the top edge of the nameplate (2) to use as a guide, if necessary.

If temperature is below 21°C (70°F) warm emblem with a heat lamp or gun. Do not exceed 52°C (120°F) when heating emblem.
Apply a 2-3 layers of masking tape (2) on the body, around the nameplate (1) to protect the paint finish.
Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, from behind the emblem to separate the adhesive backing and upper liftgate nameplate (1), release the retainers (3) from the body.
Remove the masking tape (3) used to protect the paint finish.
NOTE:
Do not remove masking tape that has been placed for installation alignment purposes.
Clean adhesive residue from body with MOPAR® Super Kleen solvent or equivalent.
