Latch, Door: Removal

Position the door glass in the fully closed position.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the front door trim panel (1). Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
Remove the watershield. Refer to WATERSHIELD, DOOR, REMOVAL .

Remove the door lock cylinder (1). Refer to CYLINDER, DOOR LOCK, REMOVAL .

Remove the two fasteners (2) from the rear glass guide (1).
Remove the rear glass guide (1) from the door.

Remove the three fasteners (2) securing the latch to the inner door (1).

Remove the outer handle rod cable (1) from the retainer (2) and rotate out of the retaining clip (3).
Disconnect the latch wiring connector (5).
Remove the latch (4) from the door.
