Cooler And Hoses, Charge Air: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle

    Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  3. Remove the from bumper fascia

    Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the CAC inlet quick connect (1).

  5. Disconnect the CAC outlet quick connect (1).
  6. Disconnect charge air cooler hose (2) inlet quick connect (4).

  8. Remove bolt (3) from charge air cooler hose (2).
  9. Loosen clamp (1) at charge air cooler hose (2).
  10. Carefully remove charge air cooler hose from vehicle.

  11. Disconnect the evaporative purge hose from charge air cooler outlet hose (5).
  12. Disconnect the pressure sensor from the charge air cooler outlet hose (5).
  13. Remove the bolts (2 and 3) from the hose.
  14. Disconnect the charge air cooler hose (5) outlet quick connect (4).
  15. Loosen the clamp (1) at charge the air cooler hose (5).
  16. Carefully remove the charge air cooler outlet hose (5) from the vehicle.

  17. Roll the CAC forward to allow the mounts (2) to clear the radiator brackets (1).
  18. Lift the charge air cooler out of the vehicle.
