Cylinder Head: Inspection

NOTE:

Typical Cylinder Head shown.

Check for cylinder head warping with a straight edge (2) and feeler gauge (1).
Cylinder head must be flat within specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove carbon and varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
Inspect the following components and verify that they are within specification : Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

- Valve Seats
- Valve Guides
- Valves
