Seat, Front: Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding with the following procedure, review all Warnings and Cautions. Refer to WARNING  .

NOTE:

Driver side shown, passenger side typical.

  1. Position the seat fully forward.
  2. Remove the seat to riser bolts (2) located in the rear area of the front seat (1).
  3. Position the seat fully rearward.
  4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  5. With the use of trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the retainers from the seat wiring access cover and remove the cover (3).
  6. Disconnect the wiring connectors.
  7. Remove the seat to riser bolts (2) located in the front area of the front seat (1).
    NOTE:

    If equipped with a seat air bag, lift the seat only and only in the area of the head restraint and the front of the seat cushion.

  8. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
