Seat, Front: Installation

NOTE:

If equipped with a seat air bag, lift the seat only and only in the area of the head restraint and the front of the seat cushion.

Position the seat (1) into the vehicle.
If necessary, position the seat in the fully rearward position.
Loosely install the seat to riser bolts (2) located in the front of the front seat (1).
Connect the seat wiring connectors.
Position the wiring access cover (3) and install the retainers fully.

Connect the negative battery cable.
Position the seat fully forward.
Loosely install the seat bolts (2) located in the rear area of the front seat (1).

Tighten the rear inboard bolt (4) to 35 N-m (26 lbf-ft).
Position the seat in the fully rearward position.

Tighten the front inboard bolt (2) to 35 N-m (26 lbf-ft).
Tighten the front outboard bolt (3) to 35 N-m (26 lbf-ft).
Position the seat fully forward.

Tighten the rear outboard bolt (4) to 35 N-m (26 lbf-ft).
Inspect the seat tracks by moving the seat several time to be certain they lock into the tracks simultaneously.
