Console, Floor: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Unfasten the button (1).
Release the hook and loop fastener (4).
With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers securing the shifter bezel (3) to the floor console (2).

Disconnect the shifter bezel wiring connector (2), if so equipped.
Raise the shifter bezel (1) over the shifter handle and remove from the vehicle.

Position the parking brake handle in the full up position.
Grasp the park brake handle bezel (1) in the center area (2).
Pull upward to release the retaining tabs.

Reach into the rear area of the shifter housing (1) and press the retaining tabs on the back of the electronic stability control switch (2) and then pushing up releasing the switch.
Disconnect the wiring connector from the switch (2).

Remove fastener (1) from the floor console (2).

With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers securing the cup holder bezel (2) to the floor console (1).

Remove the fasteners (1) from the cup holder (3).
Lift up the cup holder (3) and disconnect the wiring connector for the accessory power outlet (2).

With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, placed between the armrest hinge (1) and arm rest bezel, release the armrest bezel (2) retainers.

Remove the armrest fasteners (2).
Remove the armrest (1).

With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers along the rear edge of the floor console side cover (1).
Slide the floor console side cover (1) rearward to release front retainer.

Remove the fastener (2) from the front of the floor console (1).
Repeat on he opposite side.

With the use of a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release the retainers for the floor console rear cover (1). If equipped, disconnect the wire harness connector and remove.

Remove the fasteners (1) securing the rear of the floor console (2).

Position the parking brake in the full up position.
Slide the floor console (1) slightly rearward.
Lift the floor console (1) from the rear and then up, routing it over the shifter.
Remove the floor console from the vehicle.
