DECKLID, Convertible: Installation

With the help of an assistant and utilizing the reference marks, align and position the liftgate (1) to the vehicle.
Install the fasteners (3) attaching the liftgate hinge (2) to the vehicle. Tighten the fasteners to 8 Nm (71 lbf-in). Repeat on the opposite side.
Install the decklid support cylinder.

Feed the decklid harness (5) through the opening in the decklid and seat the grommet.
Connect the decklid latch wire harness at the latch.
Position the decklid trim (2) near the decklid and feed the emergency latch release handle (4) through the trim panel.
Install the eight fasteners (1) securing the decklid trim panel (2)
Close the decklid.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Check to make certain latch is working properly.
