Motor, Sunroof: Installation
WARNING:
Do not attempt to move or reposition the sunroof glass panel or drive cables with the sunroof motor and module unit removed. Damage to the vehicle, to the sunroof or personal injuries may result.
WARNING:
The Sunroof Motor And Module Initialization procedure must be completed any time a sunroof motor and module unit is replaced with a new component. Failure to perform this procedure may result in damage to the vehicle, to the sunroof or in serious or fatal injuries.
- Position the sunroof motor (3) close enough to the sunroof frame (5) to access and connect the sunroof wire harness connector (2) to the motor connector receptacle.
- Position the sunroof motor to the sunroof frame and engage the motor to the drive mechanism (1).
- Install and tighten the three screws (4) that secure the motor to the sunroof frame. Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (26 in. lbs.).
- Install the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Perform the Sunroof Motor And Module Initialization procedure. Refer to SUNROOF INITIALIZATION .
