Passenger Seat

NOTE:

Before proceeding with the following procedure, review all Warnings and Cautions. Refer to SEATS, WARNING .

  1. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), remove the trim cap (1) from the seat back recliner lever (2).

  2. Remove the screw (1) and washer (2) that secure the seat back recliner lever (3) to the seat and remove the lever.
  3. Remove the two screws that secure the inboard seat cushion side shield (4) to the seat and remove the side shield.

  4. Lift the fabric (1) covering the recliner cable.

  5. Install a tie strap (2) through the hole of the seat recliner lever that secures the cable retaining clip (1). Cut off the excess length from the tie strap.
  6. Attach the cable retaining clip (1) to the seat adjusting lever if disengagement has occurred.
    NOTE:

    Make sure the head of the tie strap is facing outward and does not interfere with lever travel.

  7. Position the inboard seat cushion side shield (4) to the seat and install the two retaining screws. Tighten the screws securely.
  8. Install the seat back recliner lever (3).
  9. Install the screw (1) and washer (2) that secures the seat back recliner lever. Tighten the screw securely.

  10. Install the trim cap (1) onto the seat back recliner lever (2).
  11. Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
