Console, Floor: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12 volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12 volt system. You must perform the 12 volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
  2. Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
  3. Remove the screw (2) from the left side floor console panel (1).
  4. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), disengage the rear retaining tabs and remove the left side floor console panel (1).

  5. Remove the screw (1) securing the front floor console to the lower instrument panel bezel. Repeat for the opposite side.

  6. Remove the screw (2) from the right side floor console panel (1).
  7. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), disengage the front floor console to floor console panel retaining clips.
  8. Pull the floor console panel rearward to disengage the retaining clip in the floor.
  9. Remove the right side floor console panel (1) from the vehicle.

  10. Position the parking brake handle up fully.
  11. Remove the rear cup holder mat (2).
  12. Remove the rear retaining nut (3) located in the rear cup holder cavity.
  13. Pull the rear floor console rearward to disengage the front to rear floor console retaining clips/tabs.
  14. Slide the rear floor console (1) over the parking brake handle and remove from the vehicle.

  15. Remove the front cup holder mat (2).
  16. Remove the retaining nuts (1) located in the cup holder cavity and in the rear of the front floor console (4).
  17. Pull the front floor console rearward slightly and disconnect the 12V power harness (3).
  18. Remove the front floor console (4) from the vehicle.
