Carpet, Floor: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove the front seats. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to COVER, SEAT CUSHION, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear seat back. Refer to SEAT BACK, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the cargo load floor. Refer to COVER, CARGO FLOOR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the parking brake lever (5). Refer to LEVER, PARKING BRAKE, REMOVAL
.
- Remove the instrument panel closeout panel fasteners (1).
- Remove the instrument panel closeout panel (2) from the vehicle.
- Remove the transmission shifter. Refer to REMOVAL
or SHIFTER, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL
for the HD version.
- Remove the four bolts (1) from the instrument panel to floor bracket (2).
- Remove the instrument panel to floor bracket (2).
- Remove the foam block (1) from around the shifter cable.
- Remove the foam block (2) from the front of the carpet.
- Remove the condensate drain tube (1) from the HVAC housing (3).
- Remove the ground wires from the stud (2).
- Disconnect the left side air bag module connector (1).
- Remove the accelerator pedal block (2).
- Remove the fastener (1) securing the carpet (3).NOTE:
For installation purposes, take note of all vehicle harness routings in the carpet prior to removing.
- Remove the carpet (3) from the rear of the vehicle.
