Sunroof Switch

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the power sunroof switch from the headliner. Refer to REMOVAL .
Disconnect the sunroof wire harness connector from the sunroof switch connector receptacle.

Using a multimeter, test the continuity between the terminals of the sunroof switch connector receptacle while actuating the switch as shown in the Sunroof Switch Tests table.

SUNROOF SWITCH TESTS
SWITCH POSITION	CONTINUITY BETWEEN PINS
OFF	NO CONTINUITY
CLOSE	1 and 2
OPEN	1 and 3
SWITCH ILLUMINATION	LED - SET MULTIMETER TO DIODE MODE - CONNECT PIN 4 TO PLUS (+), CONNECT PIN 1 TO MINUS (-) - LED SHOULD BARELY GLOW

If the switch fails any of the tests, replace the ineffective switch.
