Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Turn the Park Lamps off and on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- ATTEMPT TO SET DTC: B13AC-13 FRONT SIDE MARKER LAMPS CIRCUIT OPEN
- Turn the Park Lamps off.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Left and Right Front Side Marker Lamp harness connectors.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Turn the Park Lamps on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC: B13AA-13 LEFT/RIGHT SIDE MARKER LAMPS CIRCUIT OPEN?
Yes
- Replace the bulb causing the short to ground condition in accordance with the service information. Refer to LAMP, SIDE MARKER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (L17) PARK LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (L17) Park Lamp Driver circuit between ground and the Left and Right Front Side Marker Lamp harness connectors.
Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the short to ground in the (L17) Park Lamp Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
