Bezel, Instrument Panel, Center: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12 volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12 volt system. You must perform the 12 volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
- Remove the A/C and heater control panel. Refer to CONTROL, A/C AND HEATER, REMOVAL .
- Remove the two screws (1 and 3) that secure center trim bezel (2) to the instrument panel cover.
- Open the glove box door, remove the center trim bezel retaining screw located on the upper right edge of the glove box cavity.
- Using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, disengage the retaining clips from the center trim bezel (1).
- Disconnect the harness from the switch pod and remove the center trim bezel from the vehicle.
